Hey there!  Today marks the last day of the Fall Favorites link up.  Thank you to all who have linked up with me and Sarah!  It's always so fun to do this link up as a way to kick off fall.

The topic today is fall entertainment.  I feel like this topic is pretty open for interpretation, which is kind of nice - you can take it how you want!  I will be covering TV, music, and reading materials.

TV:

Gilmore Girls.  I am sure it is no surprise that this is on the TV list.  I feel like Gilmore Girls gives everyone the fall feels!

Friday Night Lights.  As someone that comes from a small, football-obsessed town, there is nothing that makes me feel more fall-like than a Friday night under the stadium lights.  And this show...it may be one of my very favorite shows, ever.  Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

The Good Witch.  I discovered this Hallmark Channel show earlier this year, and it gives me some of the same vibes as Gilmore Girls, with a bit of whimsy.

The West Wing.  I really enjoy a good political show, and this one holds up, even years later.  The way it is filmed, with the lighting, the fact that it seems to be raining quite a bit, all that together gives you moody, fall-like feels.

Music:

Pandora is my music app of choice, and The Standards Radio station is one of my favorites.  I listen to it year-round, but it hits a bit sweeter come fall.

When it gets a bit closer to Halloween, I will turn on Family Halloween Radio and Spooky Symphonies Radio, depending on my mood.  It's fun to be festive!

Reading:

I love looking at magazines for inspiration, especially when it comes to seasonal decor and recipes.  Southern Living, Country Living and Country Home are some of my favorites!

By the time fall hits, I am usually ready to switch from lighter, beach reads, to darker, psychological thrillers.  Right now I am reading One by One by Ruth Ware.  Other psychological thrillers I have enjoyed include The Last Mrs. Parrish, The Breakdown, and Behind Closed Doors.

Again, thanks so much linking up with us!  I hope you enjoyed these fall posts as much as we did!

  3. Friday Night Lights is a great one for fall. Gosh, I love that show. I was so bummed when it left Netflix. I think it's on NBC's new streaming channel now, but we don't have that. :o( I'd love to binge it again!

    1. Agreed! I was a bit reluctant to watch it before, because I wasn't sure about the 'witch' element - like if it would be too cheesy. And while there is a good amount of cheese to it (it is Hallmark, haha), it was the good kind and I thoroughly enjoy it!

  6. I have the Last Parish on my list, but haven't received it yet. I love Gilmore Girls and need to start it up again. I will have to check out the Good Witch. I have never heard of it.
