Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites: Items I Have & Love

That was me to a T this week.  Usually I like listening to Jazz for Studying while working, but this week I needed some rap in my life to get it done!

Switching it up from my normal Friday favorites posts, I would share some of my tried and true favorites that are included in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  These are the items that I have and love, and would recommend if you are in the market to do any shopping.  (Well this stinks...somehow my post got all messed up, and all the text was deleted!  I updated it, so hopefully it stays right this time!)

1.  Barefoot Dream CozyChic Leopard Cardigan.  I have this cardigan in a solid color and love it so much.  It's ridiculously soft, oversized, and oh so cozy.  Plus, it washes and dries so well!  You can't beat that.

2. Barefoot Dreams 2-Pack CozyChic Socks.  If you need another soft and cozy item to add to your list, these are it!  While they don't stay soft and fluffy on the bottom (because, duh, you are standing/walking in them), they are still super warm and cozy.  Plus they make a great gift!  You can split them into two individual gifts (be really great with a small lotion), keep one and give one, or of course, give the pack as a gift.  Either way, you can't go wrong.

3. Zella Live In High Waist Leggings.  I purchased these leggings during the sale last year.  Everyone was raving about them, and I wanted to see if they lived up to the hype.  And they did!  These leggings are a bit thicker, which makes them perfect for wearing out and about.  I know people wear them for workouts, but I prefer to keep them 'nice' and wear with sweaters, tunics, etc.  Either way, I think they are a great buy.

4. Spanx Faux Leather Leggings.  Another item purchased during last year's sale.  And another item that lived up to the hype.  I had originally purchased these to use to dress up regular legging looks, but I found they are just as cute styled casually with tennis shoes for a more athleisure look.  I do recommend going up one size in these, and getting petite if you are 5'3" or under.

5.  Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra.  If you are in need of a good strapless bra, this is it.  It's really comfortable - not something I would say about a strapless bra normally.  I actually will wear it even when I don't need to wear a strapless bra, which I feel like says a lot about the comfort level.  Sizing-wise, I would suggest going up one cup size.  I feel like that was the best fit for me!

6. Kiehl's Jumbo Creme de Corps.  This is the best body lotion I have ever used.  I get really itchy, dry skin in the winter, and this stuff is the only one that has helped with it.  At first, the cost kind of put me off - it seemed like so much for body lotion.  But, one bottle lasts me 6 months, if not more.  When you break it down like that, it's not a bad deal at all!

Do you have any tried and trues that are part of the sale?  I plan on working on my wish list this shopping date isn't for awhile but, hey, it's still fun to look!

On the blog this week...

  1. Already too many things favorited! Booties and boots are always one of my favorite things to add.

  2. I'll definitely be purchasing another pair of zella leggings and I think I'm going to try to snag the barefoot dreams blanket this time!! xo, Biana BlovedBoston

  4. Yep, two of these are definitely on my list for this year!!

  5. I love those socks and the Spanx leggings. Both are winners!

  6. I love Barefoot Dreams. I have five BF cardigans so I am going to skip the leopard option. I love my Zella leggings and they are one of the few things on my list this year.

  7. The Barefoot Dreams products look so comfy! And I've only heard great things about Zella and Spanx leggings! You got some great stuff!

  8. New comfy thick socks are just the best! Would love to hear your thoughts on Zella vs Lululemon vs Athletica vs Sweaty Betty - I haven't tried any and everyone is of a different opnion on which is best (or is sponsored to say which is best) - would love to hear your thoughts!

    1. Oh, I love that as a post idea!! Out of that bunch I have only tried Zella and Lululemon. Lululemon Align are my FAVORITE. They are so comfortable and have that buttery feeling. I really like the Zella leggings, too, though. They are thicker, more substantial feeling. Plus the price point is way better than Lulu, even when not on sale. It's a bit of a toss up depending on what you are looking for!
