Happy Friday!

Today I am off to the DMV to renew my license...fingers crossed I brought all the right documents!  And my picture isn't too horrific, haha!

1.  I mentioned on Wednesday I was in Florida for a work conference the first few days of the week.  I didn't get very much downtime, so pictures are minimal, but I did snap a few.

First, the view from my room.  It was nice to get that peak of the ocean!

This resort had a champagne vending machine.  I snagged a picture of this to send to my champagne loving coworker, and found at after the fact that, apparently, it is the most photographed thing in the whole resorts.  Which is kind of crazy, because this resort is so beautiful and historic!

I am a sucker for palm tree pictures, especially against this moody sky.

2.  I went on a massive grocery shopping trip Wednesday after work.  I think the combination of being going, just being out of a lot of stuff, and wanting to stock the freezer a bit led me to buy what felt like ALL THE THINGS.

I grabbed stuff to make my favorite Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas from Magnolia Table (Volume 2 comes out next month and I am so excited for it!), and my mom's Baked Mostaccioli.  I plan to do a full recipe of each, but split it between two smaller pans.  One pan for now, one pan for the freezer.

I also grabbed some ingredients to make Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole.  A friend shared this with me, and said it's pretty much on weekly rotation for her family.  Sounds like a must try for me!  Plus it's low carb.  I do love my carbs, but feel it can't hurt to limit them at times.

3.  I wore one of my new LOFT outfits on my work trip, and I received some really nice compliments while at the airport, heading home.  Made me feel pretty darn good!

Here's what I wore:

I was a little hesitant at first to buy this blazer (40% off with NEWNOW).  I tend to be more practical with blazer purchases, since they typically are more expensive, and I want something that will go with a lot, but I am glad I ended up getting this, because I love it.  And another lady at the airport did, too!  It actually goes with quite a bit of the items I have, and I can see myself wearing it more casually with jeans.

You can't tell from the pictures online, but this black and white top (currently on sale + an addition 40% off with code NEWNOW) also has a bit of blush in it, too, which the blazer picks up perfectly.

This skirt is a mix of classic (with the black and nice, thick ponte material) and fun (with the flippy ruffle at the bottom).  One lady told me how much she liked it, and thought how the detail at the bottom made it a bit more feminine, which was nice.  I honestly didn't think of it quite in that way, but now I am wondering if that is why I am more drawn to the flippy skirts!

I finished the outfit off with my Calvin Klein nude heels (25% off with code PREVIEW).  They really are my favorite.  If you are curious about how comfortable they are, I wore them from 7:30 in the morning, until almost 10:00 at night with no problem.  Of course, by the time I got home I was ready to take them off, but I feel like that is the case with any shoe you wear for that long.

  1. Wow! That resort looks gorgeous. And that vending machine, hilarious
    Have a great weekend xo

  2. Kroger had such great deals this week that for once my freezer and pantry are fully stocked. Hopefully that means next grocery bill will be lower! Love that picture of the palm tree against the night sky.

  3. A champagne vending machine - that is too fun! HOpe the DMV was painless today! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  4. Cute outfit and looks like a pretty place for a work trip! I'm planning a day off soon for a trip to the DMV. Share tips next week if you have any. I am hearing it can take a while to get the new ID.

  5. A champagne vending machine?! That is so cool! I had no clue those existed. Haha. I love that skirt with that ruffle hem. So beautiful!
