Weekend Recap: Antique Mall Finds & Cheer

Hey all!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I was pretty worn out yesterday - think last week was catching up for me, so this post is coming at you live!

Friday was pretty low key.  I returned some books to the library after work, and was trying to find something else to read, but nothing was sounding good.  I am definitely in a reading rut.  So instead of enjoying a book, I spent the evening catching up on shows from the week.

Saturday was a big day for my family.  My parents picked up their new kitten, and she is absolutely precious.  I am so excited to meet her during my next visit home.  My poor little nephew dislocated his elbow.  They were able to pop it in, and he was back to normal, running around that afternoon, but goodness that had to be so scary for him and my brother and sister in law.  And my littlest nephew is full on walking around!  For me, it was a little less eventful.  I made a trip to my favorite antique mall, and then spent the rest of the day watching Cheer on Netflix.  Which I absolutely loved!

I ended up sleeping way later than normal Sunday morning, and woke up with a terrible sore throat.  That's been happening the last few days, and this one seemed like a real sickness.  Luckily it went away after a couple hours, but I stayed home from church just in case.  Both to rest and ensure that if I really was sick, I wasn't passing it along to anyone there!  I once again got sucked into Netflix, this time watching Spinning Out, which was also good.  I watched the Super Bowl, but was so darn tired, I missed all the excitement towards the end when KC took the lead, and ultimately won.

All in all, it was a really low key weekend, but I think it was just what I needed.  I have a Peloton ride under my belt already this morning, and I am ready to take on the week!

  1. Your parent's kitten is adorable! I'm sorry you are not feeling great but I hope it passes soon. I also had a low-key Sunday since I was fighting a terrible headache and low fever.
