Well, I was a little partial to Nora Roberts this month!  Not really surprising.

I am again having a hard time getting into books lately, so I keep returning to old faithfuls.

I am steadily making my way through the 'in Death' series by J.D. Robb (aka Nora Roberts), and then I finished up the Signs of Seven trilogy, too.

Conspiracy in Death, Loyalty in Death & Witness in Death by J.D. Robb.  Grouping these all together.  As I wrote above, I am making my way through the series.  If you aren't familiar, the 'in Death' series is one written by Nora Roberts, under the J.D. Robb name.  The series setting is futuristic, and the main character is a female cop.  Each books covers a specific case, and often intertwines with her husband's business, or involves friends, etc.  She's also dealing with her own demons from her childhood, which is more prevalent in some books more than others.  I really like these books - I think they are neat and different, yet each book is similar enough that you kind of know what you are getting.  Which, considering my luck lately is just what I need in a book!

The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts.  This one was a bit harder for me to get through.  It just seemed like there were so many things going on, and while it hadn't been that long since I read the second book, I still forgot some things.  All in all, this wasn't my favorite trilogy of hers.

It's kind of funny, because I am actually in the midst of reading another Nora Roberts book right now, The Rise of Magicks, but I do have a couple of books waiting to be read that are NOT by Nora Roberts, so hopefully next month's review will have a bit more variety!

Linking up with Steph.

  1. I have still never read anything by Nora Roberts. I've added a few books to my reading list here and there when you recommend them but I have yet to actually read one. Maybe I'll check some out this summer when I have more time to read!

  4. I love the "in Death" series! I am all caught up to the newest one that came out this month. It's great trying to figure out who did it each book and watching the relationships between Roarke and Dallas deepen and all the assorted characters she picks up as friends along the way.
