TBB Asks: Christmas Edition

Time for another TBB Asks post (a little early).

1. Real or Fake Tree?  Fake!  I don't think that will ever change, although I love seeing all the pictures of people going out to get their real tree.  Looks fun!

2. Favorite Christmas Cookie?  Snowball Surprise Cookies!  My aunt makes THE BEST Christmas cookies, and that recipe has to be one of my favorites.

3. Home on Christmas Morning or Travel?  Home.  We always open up presents, have breakfast (monkey bread), and then get ready to head to my grandma's.

4. Clear or Colored Lights?  Definitely white lights.

5. Send Christmas Cards?  Yes!  I am actually hoping to get them sent out tomorrow.

6. Favorite Christmas Present Received?  Gosh, that is so hard.  I have received a ton of great gifts over the years.  I just cannot choose.  If you ask my mom, though, she will say the year I got my American Girl doll (Samantha).
7. Favorite Christmas Present Given?  Another hard one - nothing is standing out!

8. Stockings or no stockings?  Yes!  We had the best stockings growing up.  Although one year (maybe more than one), I got a lump of coal in my stocking!

9. Christmas PJ's?  I actually have bought a few festive pairs of pj's in the last few years, but it's not a big tradition with my family.

10. Favorite Christmas carol?  Silent Night.

11. Favorite Holiday Tradition?  There are too many to choose!  One may be watching all the Christmas carol movies.  We have a ton and always try to make our way through them when we are all together.  As silly as it may be, The Muppet's Christmas Carol is my favorite!

12. Early Shopper or Last Minute?  Early!  I only have 3 more presents left to buy.  Somehow, though, the last few things always seem to take me awhile, and therefore seem more last minute.
13. Favorite Christmas Movie or Show?  Miracle on 34th Street (the old version).

14. Favorite Holiday Beverage?  Hot chocolate!  With marshmellows, of course.

15. Cookies and Milk for Santa?  We did this growing up, and I am sure it will become something that is done again since Jack is around.

I am a little early with this post, but on Monday I will be linking up with The Blended Blog ladies!

  1. I am all about a fake tree, too, only because I put mine up so early. We used to only have real trees growing up but my parents literally didn't buy it until the 2nd week of December which is why I decorate so early now ha! I've got to work this weekend on addressing Christmas cards! I'm so behind on what I need to be doing!

  3. I'm a huge cookie fan, but I've never heard of those snowball cookies before- definitely going to check out your recipe! I haven't been able to think of any one specific gift that sticks out, but I got a Samantha doll one year that I loved too!

  6. These are always such fun posts! I need to join in one month! I can't believe you only have 3 gifts left to buy! That is amazing. I always start early each year but we always manage to get behind each year anyway!

  7. Love this! I'm a fake tree person too, but only because I like to put it up early and keep it up through New Year's. Also, less hassle and expense in the long run. I do love seeing the tree picking pictures as well as the smell of a real tree. =)

  9. We are definitely fake tree-ers at my house, I just don't think I could stand having to water a real tree or clean up pine needles...plus have you read the articles about all the bugs and stuff lurking in those trees?!
