November 2017 Goals

New month, new goals.  First, a look back at October.

October Goals

1.  Paper organization.  I am going to count this as done.  I have a tiny bit left to do, but it's pretty darn close to being complete.  I may have waited until the last minute (this past Sunday) to knock it off the list, but that's ok!

2.  Make 4 pumpkin recipes.  I made one, maybe two recipe.  I definitely didn't get into the 'spirit' with baking as much, and trying seasonal things, but oh well.  There is still time to get some treats in before it will be full on Christmas-mode.

3.  Clean closet.  Not fully complete, but definitely better.  I even went through all my shoes and got rid of some!  Instead of the quick clean up I had imagined at the beginning of the month, I am taking some time to go through things, and while it wasn't what I had in mind originally, I think it will have lasting results.

4.  Christmas gift planning.  Negative.  I didn't do this at all!

November Goals.

1.  Christmas cards.  It's that time of year!  I love sending (and receiving!) Christmas cards, so if you would like the exchange, please feel free to send me an email at emilyanndunham@gmail.com with your address to add to my mailing list!

2.  Christmas shopping.  Ideally, I will have all my presents bought and wrapped by the end of the month.  I had better get to figuring out my gift ideas, first, though!

3.  Cube clean up.  My work cube could use a little sprucing up.  Nothing too crazy, but just a good cleaning up and a little extra 'cute' organization.  I am thinking some cute little containers for paper and binder clips on my desk, as well as some type of business card holder.  I remember reading somewhere that your work space is a bit of reflection of you and while I keep my space pretty tidy, it could use a little wipe down and a bit of 'fun' added to it.

4.  Be thankful.  I wrote about this yesterday, but I plan to write down one thing I am thankful for each day.

  1. A clean work space makes such a huge difference for me! So does thankfulness/gratitude! BTW-speaking of work - loving the Calvin Klein shoes you recommended!

  2. I'm not a big pumpkin person, but I did make some pumpkin brownies. I wasn't a huge fan, but my husband loved them. So I suppose that's something. Also... I have figured out what I'm getting exactly one person for christmas. Which is not good, because we're having christmas with my half of the family on Thanksgiving.

  3. Thankfulness is key, so many people dwell on the negatives and drama and bring others down with them. UGH, drives me nuts. Always something to be thankful for, always!

So excited for Christmas cards....let's exchange.

  4. October went by so quickly! I already mentioned this in yesterday's post but I love the thankfulness prompt for the month. I'm going to try and get started on Christmas shopping this month-- or at least be more prepared with lists!

  5. I'm usually way ahead on Christmas gifts but this year? not so much. I have a few ideas, but I really need to figure out more and get to buying/making. I'd love to actually do a few DIY gifts this year.

  6. October flew by. I'm always done with 99% of my Christmas shopping by now but not a single thing yet. Crazy.

  7. As always I love all of your goals! Organizing your work space and sprucing it up is a great idea... you spend so much time there so it's important for it to look good!

  10. I need your motivation to get Christmas shopping done this month! I'm terrible with figuring out gifts for people & scrambling at the last minute. Having a clean desk/office area is so helpful! I get a lot of cute office stuff at TJ Maxx and Marshalls!

  13. I'd love to get my Christmas shopping done this month, too. I am hoping to make some pumpkin muffins before Thanksgiving and some pies. I like your plan to tidy up and organize your work space. It's always nice to work in a cute environment. Good luck crossing off your November goals.

  14. Good luck with your goals this month! I'm trying to be done with Christmas shopping by the end of this month, but realistically, I think I might have to at least give myself the first week in December too-lol!
