TBB Asks: Fall Edition

First Monday of the month means the TBB (The Blended Blog) Asks link up.  I am really enjoying this link up - it's such a fun way to get to know more about others!

Favorite Fall Sweet Treat?  Pumpkin Squares!!!  I always try to make these at least once during the fall.  Even if it is just to give me a taste - the rest usually end up at work so I don't eat them all myself!

Red, Yellow or Green Apples?  Red-Yellow?  I love Honeycrisp, and I feel like they are both colors!

Favorite Fall Sport to Play?  In high school, it was always cheerleading.  I have the best memory of performing the school song / dance at the first home game my freshman year.  My town is very 'Friday Night Lights' when it comes to football, so to see the stands packed and just the excitment of the year that football was back - it was such a great feeling.

Best Drink for Fall?  I shared my five favorites in this post, but either a PSL, or Simple Apple juice with some Fireball - yum!

Favorite Fall Activity?  Anything outside in the crisp fall air!  I love taking morning walks when there is a nice chill in the air, with the leaves crunching under my feet.

Must have Fall Purchase?  Fall decor!  I love when the stores break out their fall decorations and I always end up picking up some new pieces to add to my collection.  You can see my fall home tour here.

Pumpkins: Pick your own or store bought?  If I have the opportunity, picking my own is always preferred!

Real or Fake Pumpkin?  Real for outside, fake for inside!  I have used real small pumpkins before and they just do not last.  However, it's always fun to grab different sizes of real ones outside!

Favorite Halloween Costume?  My mom always made us the best costumes when we were little - the base was almost always a sweat suit.  One year I was a Care Bear and I think it is my favorite, because my parents have this picture somewhere, where I am just scowling and look SO unhappy.  It's pretty hilarious, and while I was supposed to be the Sleepy Care Bear, I totally should have been Grumpy.

College Football or NFL?  I don't really follow either.  My college didn't have a football team, and if I had to pick a NFL team, it would have to be the Bears, although I don't follow them closely.

Fall or Halloween Decor?  I touched on my decor earlier, but I definitely opt for fall decor, rather than Halloween.  I have a few cute little Jack o Lanterns, but I rarely remember to bring them out during the month of October.

Raking Leaves or no Leaves to Rake?  I loved raking leaves growing up.  Living in an apartment right now, that isn't really a thing, but I definitely look forward to doing that when I have my own home.

Favorite Soup?  For sure my mom's homemade chicken noodle soup.  Yum!

Favorite Fall Candle scent?  Last month I discovered Vintage Harvest (1803 Candles) and just love it, especially for early on in the season.  Besides that, I really love William Sonoma's Pumpkin Spice candle.

Love or Hate Pumpkin Spice?  LOVE!!

Short Booties or Tall Boots?  In the past few years, I have definitely been going more towards short booties.  I do still have a few tall boots, but when I am looking for shoes to wear, I almost always opt for booties.

Favorite Halloween Candy?  Skittles, Midnight Milky Ways, Fruit Flavored Tootsie Rolls...the list could go on.

PSL?  Obviously, yes.

Hayride of Corn Maze?  Either - both are so fun, I think!

Favorite Fall TV Show?  I watch a lot of TV - too many goods ones to pick just one as a favorite!

  12. Apple juice and fireball? I need to try that one out. I've always wanted to visit a corn maze or hayride. Going to research now if they have any in my area. Sounds like the perfect outdoor activity for Fall.

  15. I used to just use apples for baking, but I've been eating them regularly lately and am loving honeycrisp & green apples. Your costumes were so cute- the sweatshirts were such a smart idea for how cold it usually is in the midwest during halloween.
