What's Up Wednesday: September 2017

I am linking up with my usual Wednesday girls - Jessi and Jenn for What's Hap-pinning Wednesday and Shay for What's Up Wednesday.  I feel like this was one of those months where it was like, oh my gosh, it's time for another What's Up Wednesday post, because it seems like it just happened.  How are we almost to October?!

What I'm eating this week...meal planning did not happen this week.  I did start eating a new lunch last week.  I have been getting really bored and just not wanting anything usual, so I switched things up and packed some deli meat, pretzel thins, a baby bel cheese, carrots and hummus.  Please feel free to share any lunch ideas in the comments - I would greatly appreciate some new ideas to switch things up more!

What I'm reminiscing about...nothing really!

What I'm loving...Laurie (my mom) & Emily's Great Adventure...more on that next week!

What I've been up to...honestly, as I type this up, I have no idea where the time went.  The month started a visit from my mom where we decorated for fall (fall home tour here) and then fast forward to now and I just do not know what happened in the in between.  I think that may in part be due to the fact that I was busy this month with my company's United Way Silent Auction.  It ended last Friday with a record amount of funds raised (current count is over $13,500 as a few things got added after the auction closed) for the United Way which was such a great accomplishment.  It's a ton of work and every year I think maybe it should be my last to chair it...and then I always do it again.  But really, maybe I should just end it on the super high note...

What I'm dreading...nothing really - maybe busy time at work?  Although I actually don't mind it too much since the days usually fly by!

What I'm working on...day of rest on Sunday!  I am guilty of putting off most of my weekend to do's til Sunday.  I want to switch that around so I am more productive on Saturday, and resting more on Sunday.  I hoping this way I can ease on into the work week on a more relaxed note.

What I'm excited about...real fall!  The temps went back up the past few weeks, but it seems like they are coming back down and I am ready for things to really feel like fall.

What I'm watching...while I haven't been watching any of the new shows yet, my DVR is filling up and I cannot wait to see what the new TV season brings for old favorites and potential new favorites!  Also, Hallmark has started their fall movies, which I love!

What I'm reading...My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella.  Half way through and loving it!

What I'm listening to...there is one song on the radio I cannot get enough of, but of course, right this moment I cannot think of the name or even the words to look it up!  Great response, right?

What I'm wearing...I just shared my monthly work wear for the week post yesterday, which you can see here.  If you are new around here, I just snap a lay flat picture of exactly what I wear to work for the whole week to share.  It helps me to try and switch things up, and maybe provide a little inspiration to you!

What I'm doing this weekend...no real plans, but I can't complain about that!

What I'm looking forward to next month...hopefully a trip to the pumpkin patch and winery!

What TV show am I most looking forward to this fall...all of them?  Really, I love TV and many of my favorite shows are all starting again.  Along with the rest of the world, I love This Is Us.  I am really looking forward to finally know how Jack dies.  Madame Secretary starts again, as does Designated Survivor.  I love Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory always brings laughs, too.  RHONJ starts soon, too!  Like I said...I am excited about them all and the list just goes on and on.

  1. That always happens to me with songs on the radio -- I hear them and love them, but then can never remember the names of them when I want to look them up!

  3. I've been so uninspired for lunch lately too and have been eating peanut butter sandwiches most days. I think I'm going to start making soup on Sundays to eat for the week because it feels like a treat and its super filling! I can't wait for Designated Survivor! THIS SUNDAY we are going to actually keep our promise lol!!
