A majority of both Friday and Saturday were spent watching Modern Family. I seriously just love that show.
Saturday we went to see The Bronze. I love gymnastics, so I thought this movie would be right up my alley, not to mention the previews looked pretty funny. Warning...this movie is way more extreme than it seems! Pretty much the first scene was like oh my gosh, this is inappropriate, what did I get us into? I feel like I have a relatively high tolerance for cursing and whatnot, but this movie took it to a whole other level. That being said, the story was good and there were some really funny parts to it. However, be ready for a few uncomfortable scenes.
I met one of my best friends for brunch on Sunday. She is pregnant so it was so fun to see her baby bump and catch up. We went to Prasino, which was really good! I had the lamb sirloin and beet salad, while she opted for a breakfast skillet.
We both really enjoy the meal - and of course, the company. The restaurant is in a developing area so we checked out a few shops afterwards. There were so many cute things for spring!
Speaking of spring - this is what I woke up to on Sunday.
What in the world?! I had absolutely no idea that snow was in the forecast. Like many other places, we have been having the craziest weather. Luckily the snow only went until mid-morning and was completely gone by early afternoon.
A little Monday motivation - I know I need it!

Linking up with Biana.
EEEK! I hate when movies aren't QUITE what you expect, glad it was good even if it was a bit out there. Lunch with friends, is the best and super fun you got to see her baby bump, too cute. We had snow on Sunday too, what the what?!?! Hurry up Spring!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had some sleet/snow yesterday too. But we're back to 70 on Wednesday. Gotta love spring!

What you woke up to yesterday is what I woke up to this morning...I kept seeing previews for that movie, but I think I'll pass for the theaters. Oh that salad you had sounds amazing! Happy Monday! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteSnow be gone tis next December, lol!! Love the positive vibes...it's gonna be a good day gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteSo crazy that it’s snowing places right not! Ready for spring and warm weather to be here for good! Your sandwich looks and sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteI also love Modern Family! We probably have about 30 episodes on our DVR at any time, so we can watch it whenever! haha. Glad your snow didn't last too long-hopefully thats the last of it! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love Modern Family too! I watch every single rerun even though I've seen them all at least 100 times! And I can't believe you woke up to snow! No bueno! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes
ReplyDeleteModern Family is so hilarious! Best show to binge on a weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt snowed for like 3 minutes yesterday here but nothing like what you work up to! How crazy! And I used to watch Modern Family weekly in college--it's hilarious! Glad you got to catch up with your friend--times like that are the best!

I have never watched an episode of Modern Family but everyone I know loves it. I just got into Gossip Girl and I can't stop watching it. haha I love a good tv binge.
ReplyDeleteSo crazy that you got snow! My mom sent me a pic this morning of snow near her and I was so confused haha
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of that movie before but I LOVE gymnastics! I just discovered that USA Gymnastics has a YouTube channel so I can watch whole meets straight from the YouTube app on my TV. It's amazing hahaa.

Snow?!?! Crazy! Looks like you had a fun weekend though and nice you got in a movie and some girl time. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I cannot believe the snow! We thankfully missed the snow they were forecasting for yesterday and just had a chilly rain. Your brunch looks so good, especially the beet salad! That's one of my favorites! Happy Monday!

mmmmm beet salad... beets and goat cheese are one of my favorite flavor combos! We've had weather all over the place here too.. an hour of sun, then some sleet, then some high speed winds, then the sun again. Ugh. Is it summer yet??
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe the snow on the 1st day of spring, craziness! That brunch looks delish! Sounds like the perfect relaxing weekend <3

Aaaah the snow! That's just crazy town. It got down to 37 here last night and I was totally confused since it's been in the 80's the last couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteWe love Modern Family, too! It's one of our favorites! Phil just cracks me up!
Ugh-- sorry you have snow! It's cold here but luckily no snow! Spring needs to stop acting crazy and get with the program!! Have a great week and make today work, Rachel -CubicleCouture
ReplyDeleteYour brunch looks delicious! We ended up being spared from any snow other than a few flakes thankfully, but it's still way too cold for my liking.
ReplyDeleteThat definitely doesn't look like spring time weather to me! Then again it's colder than usual down here too. Brunch sounds amazing and thanks for the heads up on the movie....inappropriate scenes can be quite awkward. lol
ReplyDeleteYUCK to that snow... It got super cold here and rainy but luckily no flakes. I'm hoping this is the last little bit of cold before Spring sticks around for good! Glad you some some girl time in this weekend- your meal looks tasty!
ReplyDeleteThe cold weather is out of no where! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat's awkward on the movie front! But if overall you liked it, I guess the other stuff can be ignored.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good catching up with friends! How exciting that she's pregnant!
I think everyone had a cool spring weekend. We didn't get snow, but we got down in the 40's after being in the 80's for two weeks. Hope it warms up for you!

I love Modern Family too, and I have quite a few seasons to catch up on! It sounds like you had a great weekend, and it's so much fun that you got to catch up with your friend over brunch! I definitely don't envy your snow right now, but it's too cold right now! The weather needs to be more spring-like!
ReplyDeleteSnow?! Wow, I'm a little jealous - we haven't had much snow at all this season...in fact, we've had so much rain, it was no surprise that we had rain on the first day of Spring. #thatsOregonforyou I love watching TV seasons on the weekends - makes for a relaxing and uneventful weekend!

Love your Monday motivation! Eek snow around this time really sucks, it's supposed to snow later this week by me and I'm not looking forward to it! I'm hoping it doesn't happen. I'm so ready for some pretty blooms and spring like weather! That brunch food looks so yummy too!
ReplyDeleteoh that bronze movie does not look like it has done well, that sucks. might wait for dvd on that one! we thankfully didn't have snow this past weekend but it was pretty dang cold, not impressed!
ReplyDeleteHope the weather warms up for you this week! We just got a few flurries but I still couldn't believe it.
