What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Lunch Ideas

I go through phases with Pinterest - sometimes I am constantly looking at things, while other times I barely even open the app!  Lately it has been one of those "on" times, where I have been all about Pinterest.

One of my favorite things to look at are recipes.  I have been on the lookout for some new lunch ideas.  With the weather getting warmer, lighter, healthier lunches have been catching my eye.   Bonus points if the lunch can be prepped on the weekend.  Below are a few that I have found recently.

The Blogs That Started It All

Party Planning Tips & Office Tour Read more - http://www.stylemepretty.com/living/2014/02/27/party-planning-tips-tricks/:

I first start reading blogs about 4-5 years ago.  I loved finding new blogs that had been around for awhile so I could just comb through the archives, reading back posts.  After reading for some time, I got the urge to start my own blog.  Fast forward about two years, I finally started my own blog.  While I am still trying to get the hang of it all, I am so happy to have my own little space.  Today, I thought I would share with you the ones that started it all for me.
iheart organizing.  I think this was the very first blog I ever read.  What drew me in were all the fun organizing ideas.  I love to organize and this blog really has some amazing ideas.  Not only are there organizing posts, there are a ton of home DIY posts.  If you haven't checked out iheart organizing before, definitely do so, soon!  Allow yourself plenty of time, because trust me, you will get sucked in!

Fancy Ashley.  Ashley has a little bit of everything on her blog.  In her earlier posts, you can read all about her family, crafts and recipes, while more recently you can read some fun fashion and home posts.  I love the tagline of her blog - everyday needs a little fancy.  Such a fun way to look at life!

Honey We're Home.  With this blog, you get great fashion and home projects, along with fitness posts.  A new baby has been added to the mix which has been really fun to follow along, from the nursery to now fitness posts on losing the baby weight.

Mix & Match Family.  I originally came across Mix and Match Mama, where Shay posts quick and easy recipes.  Once I found out she had a family blog, I started reading.  It's just so fun to see the day-to-day happenings of her adorable family.

What blogs got you hooked on blogging?  Are any of the above ones that caused you to be bitten by the blogging bug?

Weekend Recap: Easter Edition

Happy Monday!  I had a great weekend with family, and I hope you all did, too!

Friday night was low-key.  I worked a little later than normal, but spent the rest of the evening relaxing and then packing for my trip home.  Started off the evening with a little cheese and crostini's and then had a light dinner of fish.  Much needed after indulging the night before!

I headed to my parents first thing Saturday morning.  Luckily the drive was pretty uneventful.  I visited with my mom, then we started on an Easter craft I had wanted to do.  I used the bunny picture from my Easter pins post as the inspiration, but we put our own spin on it.  I think it turned out so cute!

We started on the lamb cake (my favorite at Easter!), but had a little trouble the first go around.  The cake wasn't cooked all the way through.  After sending my dad to pick up another cake mix, my mom and I took a walk.  It was great to be able to get out and enjoy a bit of the nice weather.  My mom cooked one of my favorite dinners as a late birthday celebration - meatloaf, twice baked potatoes and asparagus.  To top off the dinner, we had my favorite cupcakes - yellow cake, chocolate frosting with round sprinkles.  I may or may not have had two...they were so good!

The evening ended watching the Ten Commandments.  I think that is such a cool movie and I love that it is played this time of year.

It was an early start to Sunday, as we were heading up north to go to church with my grandma.  To make it even better, my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew Jack were going to surprise my parents and grandma by meeting us at church!  It was such a special surprise for my grandma - really, really meant a lot to her.  We headed to my aunt and uncle's after church for Easter dinner.  Everyone was so excited, because this was the first time in at least a year that we all were able to be together.  My immediate family headed back to my parents later in the day to open our Easter presents.  The "Easter bunny" (aka Mom & Dad), still bring us gifts every year.  My mom hides them around the house and we get to hunt for our bags.  They are always so generous.  It was even more fun opening presents with the addition of Jackson.  He is just such a sweet little baby.  I cannot wait until next year when we can do an Easter egg hunt!

It was such a great weekend with lots of quality time with the family.  Oh, and I did get my Easter lamb cake...sort of.  The cake didn't cook through all the way the first time.  The second time, my mom was on her own baking, because I had fallen asleep - oops!  The cake was cooked through, but was a bit wobbly.  As she began to frost it, the head of the lamb kept falling towards the plate.  It just was not working.  However, my mom is resourceful and decided to behead the lamb and turn the cake into a bunny.  After transporting it to my aunt and uncle's the ears got a bit floppy and started resembling a gerbil...so this year, the lamb turned into a bunny/gerbil cake.  Such a fun memory that I know we will remember for Easters to come.

Friday Favorites 3.24.16

TGIF!  Yesterday kicked my butt.  Work was non-stop!  Then I had a fabulous dinner out followed by falling asleep on the couch at about 7:45...oops.  It was a major struggle to wake up, wash up, and get this post together before actually going to bed for the night - I just did not want to wake up!

First up for my favorites this week is my Grandpa's birthday.  My Grandpa passed away a few years ago.  I think of him often, especially on his big day.  He was such a wonderful man and I am so glad that I was able to have the time I did with him.  Love and miss you, Grandpa!

Carpaccio.  As I mentioned previously, I spent dinner out last night.  For our appetizer we went with carpaccio.  It was DELICIOUS!  I had never had it before, but oh my gosh was it good.  The meat just melted in your mouth.  If you don't mind very rare meat, definitely try it out next time you see it on a menu.  So good!

Stationary bike.  In my confession yesterday, I talked about my "old lady" body.  With my knee and hip giving me fits, I have been trying to do lower impact cardio at the gym.  To switch things up, I tried out the stationary bike that always has arm handles that go back and forth.  I tried this one before, but found the seat to be so uncomfortable.  I couldn't figure out how to adjust it to work for me!  However, during one of my gym trips this week, I figured out how to move the seat just right.  I think I found a new favorite machine!  I love how it works both my arms and my legs.  While it doesn't feel quite as good as running does, it is a good alternative when I want to switch things up.

Octane Fitness Xride XR6000 Recumbent Elliptical Cross Trainer

Chocolate chip cookies.  Yesterday at my work meeting, lunch was catered.  We just had boxed lunches - sandwich, chips, apple and a cookie.  These cookies were SO GOOD!  They were regular chocolate chip cookies, with a chocolate cookie center - almost like the cookie part from an Oreo baked inside a chocolate chip cookie.  It was such a fun surprise after a full morning of intense meetings.

This song.  It has been stuck in my head since yesterday.  I don't know hardly any words except "work, work, work, work, work...".  It gets me pumped up for the day when I hear it on the way into work!

Hope you all have a great weekend - happy, happy Easter!

It never fails - every time I do one of these posts or read others, I always, always get Usher's song stuck in my head!

I confess...I am so over politics right now.  The other day at work, I walked by the kitchen and the headline on the news was that some people think Hillary Clinton's voice is shrill.  Really...that is headline news?  Everything going on in the world and that is what was being televised?  I understand that people do not like her and don't agree with her politics.  But why not focus on her platform, rather than discussing opinions on her voice?  Same with Republicans...when Rubio was still in the race, Trump kept calling him "little" Marco.  And then the whole thing about Trump having little hands and then his response back - gross.  Regardless of your political opinions, wouldn't it be nice if we could focus on platforms and policies, rather than these silly things?  Ridiculous.

I confess...sometimes I feel like I have the body of an old lady.  My knee and hip have been hurting me lately.  So much so that I decided to take some Tylenol.  If you know me, you know I don't like taking medicine.  As I was putting the cap back on the bottle, I somehow proceeded to drop the bottle, pills going everywhere.  It was just one of those nights where I was like, "reeeeaallly, that just happened?!" as I stared down at the mess.  Now it is pretty funny, but at the time, not so much.

I confess...when I went to the grocery store a few weeks ago, I went a little wild with some impulse buys.  I usually just stick to my list, but I ended up coming home with Goldfish, Gardetto's, and Wheat Thin Chips.  I need to stay away from the snack aisle!

I confess...my parking still isn't getting any better.  I try so hard and if anything, it just gets worse.  Maybe one day I will learn how to park my car.  I am just thankful it is smaller so that even when I do a bad parking job, I still fit in the lines!

I confess...Game of Thrones Season 5 just came in the mail and I cannot wait to binge watch!  I even saved $5!  I pre-ordered the show on Amazon.  By the time it was ready to ship, the price had gone down from when I originally ordered it, so Amazon gave me the lower price.  Love how that worked out.

What are you confessing today?

What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Easter Pins

Easter is such a great holiday.  Not only because of the reason behind it, but also because that means spring is either here, or right around the corner.  With Easter falling so early this year, I am able to get home and celebrate with my family, which I am SO excited about.  I haven't seen them since Christmas!  It will make this Easter that much more special.

Since I have had Easter on the brain for awhile now, I have been pinning away for the holiday on Pinterest (you can follow me here).  So many gorgeous tablescapes, yummy recipes, and adorable decorations.  Below are a few of my favorites!

Show & Tell Tuesday: Soundtrack

It's time for another round of Show & Tell Tuesday with Andrea from Momfessionals.  This Tuesday is all about music - the soundtrack of my life.  I had a hard time with this one.  I love so many songs and feel like so many bring up great memories.  Instead of a soundtrack per say, I am just going to share a few of my favorite songs.

First up, we have my all-time favorite song.  To Be With You by Mr. Big.  I just love this song, it will never get old!  I remember hearing it growing up and it has always stuck with me.

Next up, we have Make Me Lose Control by Eric Carmen.  I can remember sitting outside in the little fort part of our playset, listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack cassette tape.  This song was on it - not sure why, as it wasn't on the CD (which made me SO SAD!), but I loved it.

You Really Got Me by Van Halen.  This song always makes me think of my dad.  I think it was on a commercial once and I was a huge fan.  So my dad went out and bought me the cassette tape...thanks, dad!  I think I only listened to this song over and over again, but I love that he did that!

Country is probably one of my favorite genres when it comes to music, but I didn't get introduced to it until I was in junior high.  I think Kenny Chesney's She Thinks My Tractors Sexy was my first favorite country song.  He has been one of my favorite singers ever since!

Moving along to high school dances - Get Low by Lil Jon was always a favorite.  It still makes me want to dance now!  I love how it was in The Proposal, too, which is a favorite movie of mine.  Sandra Bullock dancing and singing this song is hilarious.

In college, Lo by Flo Rida was my very favorite song.  If that song was on, you better believe I was up dancing and singing!  Even now, I will sometimes get an occasional text from one of my friends if they hear it on the radio.  That was my jam!

Another college favorite was Crying Out For Me by Lil Wayne.  My best friend at the time and I were huge fans, we knew all the words to the beginning - I honestly didn't even remember the real song, just the rap!

I would be remiss if I didn't mention The Climb by Miley Cyrus.  I think she has a great voice, so much so that I had this as my ringtone.  I have always been behind when it comes to phones and getting new music on them, so when this song came out and it became my ringtone, it was my ringtone for years.  Years.  I got made fun of quite a bit for that.  It's such a great song though, if you listen to the lyrics, it has a great message!

Since college, I would say my rap game has gone down.  I am a bit more likely to turn to country, but I still do love a good rap song.  Turn Down For What is one of those songs I love...it just makes me want to get up and dance!  Although I have to admit, I had to look up what "turn down for what" even meant.

I could go on and on - I keep coming up with so many more songs!  However, to keep this post from getting incredibly long, I will refrain from sharing them all.  Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Recap

Hey all!  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  Mine was pretty relatively uneventful, but here are a few highlights.

A majority of both Friday and Saturday were spent watching Modern Family.  I seriously just love that show.

Saturday we went to see The Bronze.  I love gymnastics, so I thought this movie would be right up my alley, not to mention the previews looked pretty funny.  Warning...this movie is way more extreme than it seems!  Pretty much the first scene was like oh my gosh, this is inappropriate, what did I get us into?  I feel like I have a relatively high tolerance for cursing and whatnot, but this movie took it to a whole other level.  That being said, the story was good and there were some really funny parts to it.  However, be ready for a few uncomfortable scenes.

I met one of my best friends for brunch on Sunday.  She is pregnant so it was so fun to see her baby bump and catch up.  We went to Prasino, which was really good!  I had the lamb sirloin and beet salad, while she opted for a breakfast skillet.

We both really enjoy the meal - and of course, the company.  The restaurant is in a developing area so we checked out a few shops afterwards.  There were so many cute things for spring!

Speaking of spring - this is what I woke up to on Sunday.

What in the world?!  I had absolutely no idea that snow was in the forecast.  Like many other places, we have been having the craziest weather.  Luckily the snow only went until mid-morning and was completely gone by early afternoon.

A little Monday motivation - I know I need it!

Friday Favorites 3.18.16

It's hard to believe that Friday is here.  The start of the week was soooo slow, but now that it is Friday, I feel like it flew by!  Here are my favorites for this week...

Birthday cards!  I love getting "fun" mail, especially when it's in the form of a card.  I have these sitting on my counter and it always makes me smile when I see them.

Hermann Wurst Haus.  I realized that I forgot to share one of my very favorite places in my birthday weekend recap!  Hermann Wurst Haus has the most amazing bratwursts.  They have a ton of different flavors - the Mettwurst and Jalapeno & Cheddar are two of my favorites.  While we didn't actually eat there last weekend, we did come home with a bunch of brats for the freezer.  Even if you aren't in the area, you can get them - they have online ordering.  While shipping can be a bit steep (even only an hour away), I think they are well worth the expense.  I actually ordered a box of 5 different flavors for a Christmas present and it was easily one of the best presents I gave.  Delicious.

Flavored water.  The cafetorium (yes, we call it a cafetorium where I work - cafeteria/autotorium) in my building always has different flavored water at lunch.  Yesterday they had apple and lemon.  It was SO GOOD.  Normally I stick to the plain, old water, because I am not always sure about their fruit combinations, but I really enjoyed the hint of apple and lemon in there.  Definitely going to be remembering this mix for my own use.

March Madness.  While I am not that into college basketball, I think March Madness is such a fun time.  My brother and sister-in-law both went to Butler so that is who I am rooting for.  I woke up Thursday morning to a picture from my brother of Jack in his Butler gear.  So stinking cute!  I did fill out a bracket just for fun...and I am pretty much already out because I choose Baylor to go to the championship.  Oops!

Birthday love.  Not only did I get a lot of birthday love from my family and friends, but from you ladies, too!  You guys are just the best!

Have the best weekend!

Liebster Award

Last week, Jenn over at Crown Me in Glitter nominated me for the Liebster Award. A huge thanks to her for thinking of me!  If you haven't checked out Jenn's blog yet, definitely do so.  She is hilarious and I always love reading her posts.

Here are the rules for the Liebster Award:
Thank the Blogger that nominated you in your post and link back to their site
Answer 11 questions from the Blogger that nominated you
Tell your readers 11 random facts about you
Nominate 11 Bloggers for the Liebster Awards
Ask your nominees to answer 11 questions

What is your favorite ice cream?
I am a big fan of vanilla with chocolate syrup...and sprinkles.  Blue Moon is also a favorite, but I have yet to find that anywhere in the area!  I would always get that when vacationing with my family in Michigan.

What is your drink of choice at Starbucks?
I am actually not a huge Starbucks person.  I have been treating myself to a hot chocolate (with whipped cream!) every few Saturdays, but we are only talking about a handful of times.

If you could be any candy, what would you be and why?
These candy bon bons you can find at World Market.  A bit hard to crack, but soft and sweet on the inside!

Who is your favorite Friends character!? (Please don’t tell me you don’t watch Friends!)
Sooooo...I don't really watch Friends that much.  However, my favorite has to be Rachel.  Basically because it's Jennifer Aniston.

Favorite childhood memory?
This is a really hard one.  Probably any memories when on vacation with my family!  My mom's side of the family goes to Michigan every year and has gone for as long as I can remember.  Lots of great memories there.

If you could only keep 5 material items for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Again, tough!  A blanket, chapstick, an e-reader with unlimited books, sunglasses, and a big bag to pack everything into.

If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to!?
So many.  I think the 50/60's would be amazing, the 20's, the Victorian era...the list could go on.

Are you usually late, on time, or early?
I am pretty much always early.  I get anxious about being late so I tend to run early or on time.

Summer or winter?
I think winter, just because the holidays.  And my birthday!

What is your favorite thing to shop for?
Shoes.  I feel like you can pretty much count on finding one pair of shoes you like...if not more!

What is your favorite thing about blogging?
I have two things  - (1) all the awesome girls I have met through blogging - you all are amazing!  (2) getting a peek into other's lives.  I find it all so interesting, from the awesome trips to the every day routine.

I am going to break the rules a bit here.  On Monday, for my 29th birthday, I shared 29 facts about myself.  Instead of sharing 11 more, I am just going to link back (click here) to that post.  That way I don't bore you...and because honestly 29 was pretty hard, I am not sure if I could come up with 11 more right now!

Rebelling again here - instead of nominating 11 other bloggers, I want anyone who is interested to partake.  Jenn and some of the other girls already hit some of my favorite bloggers so instead of a bunch of repeats, hopefully some others will join in on the fun.  Comment below if you are planning to participate, that way myself and others can be sure to check it out.

Now for my 11 questions....
1.  What is your all-time favorite recipe?
2.  If you could live anywhere, would you choose a small town or big city?
3.  What is one book that you could read over and over again?
4.  Wine, beer or cocktail?
5.  If you could have any job, what would it be?
6.  What is the best beauty advice you have received?
7.  What is your favorite app?
8.  How do you keep yourself organized - phone/computer or paper planner?
9.  If you could design your dream kitchen, what colors would you go with?
10.  Cat or dog?
11.  What is your favorite thing about blogging?  (Stealing this one from Jenn!)

Thanks again for the nomination - this was a super fun post to put together!

What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: St. Patrick's Day Edition

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner...as in tomorrow.  While I don't have any big plans other than wearing green, I have been finding a lot of super cute St. Patrick's Day pins on Pinterest.

Maybe do something similar on a smaller scale with a picture frame? @Tiffany Bruch:

How cute is this?  I love the varying colors of green, as well as the cute little "lucky" banner.

Decorate your home for St. Patrick's Day with this cute mantel ensemble! Lucky Artwork:

I love the look of this mantle - especially the burlap banner and frame with the green "lucky" across the top.  Such fun decorations for a party that look relatively easy to make, too!

The kids will LOVE these! And ya gotta love FREE! www.TheDatingDivas.com:

Speaking of a party, how cute would these be?!  Even if you don't use them as photo props, just sticking them in a jar would be super festive.

How to make corned beef in the crock pot. Perfect for St. Patrick's day!:

I have never made corned beef before, but I love the fact that this recipe calls for using the crockpot.

I have to be honest, the cheese and pickle are what caught my eye the most.  How pretty is the presentation?  Looks so good!

Weekend Recap - Birthday Edition

Happy Tuesday!  So glad Monday over.  After being gone for a few days, the first day back to work is usually a doozy and yesterday was one for sure.  Instead of talking about that, though, let's go back to the weekend for a recap.

My weekend started on a Thursday.  We headed to Hermann, MO, for a relaxing few days.  Hermann is a small German town about an hour away from St. Louis.  It has a ton of wineries in town and right outside, as well as some good restaurants and cute little shops.  We actually went there last year to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed it so much, that we decided to go back.  Instead of making this post extremely long, I am going to share some photos and then hit the hot spots of places to go in Hermann.

As I mentioned, Hermann is only about an hour from my apartment.  Which thank goodness for that.  Thursday, I took the morning to pack and get everything ready.  I was so proud of myself, I didn't overpack and I was ready in plenty of time.  As we get on the road, I realize I forgot to grab the water bottle I set out...that should have been a sign of things to come.  On the road, I realized I forgot about 5 more things.  Nothing extremely important, but still items I had meant to bring.  Then, we get to the hotel and I start to switch over my purse (why I didn't just do this at home, who knows) and realize I forgot my drivers license.  How in the world could I forget that?  I literally started to tear up.  I was just so dang proud of myself for having everything together, only to slowly realize that I didn't at all and I FORGOT MY ID!  I mean the whole point was to go to wineries.  Again, thankfully we were only an hour away, so after I calmed down, we grabbed some lunch and headed back home to get my drivers license.  I just have to brag on my bf during this, too.  He handled it like a champ - he calmed me down, fed me, made jokes, and did not show one bit of annoyance at all that we had to go back home (even after me asking him approximately 90983 times if he was upset with me).  The trip went smoothly after that, but boy what a start!

The Inn

Concert Hall - We ate here twice!

Sunset on the walk to dinner.

Dinner at Black Walnut - everything was delicious!

Breakfast room at the Inn

Sitting area in the breakfast room.

Tin Mill Brewery

Hermannhof Winery Cellar

The Inn at Hermannhof.  The rooms are gorgeous and the bathrooms are amazing.  I can't say enough good things!

Food & Drink:
Concert Hall.  We ate there twice.  Great bar food with some yummy German food thrown in there.  If you are lucky you will get Roz - she was my favorite waitress!

Black Walnut Bistro.  SO GOOD.  Definitely a nicer dinner for the area, but well worth the money.  Everything we ate was delicious.  Cindy was a fabulous waitress, too.

Tin Mill Brewery.  A neat atmosphere and perfect for those non-wine lovers.  The brat with sauerkraut was really good, too.

Hermannhof Winery.  Loved this winery!  With our stay at the inn, we got a free tasting and 15% off our purchases.  The wine tasting was really fun - we had a great lady serving us who was so personable and knowledgable.  With the nice weather we were able to grab a bottle, their snack picnic (recommended by another awesome Hermannoff employee) which included your choice of sausage, cheese, an apple, warm bread (or crackers) and a even a knife to cut everything with, and sit outside to enjoy the weather, and of course, the company.

To work off all the yummy food and drink, there are a bunch of little shops to walk to and browse.  Not to mention, the town itself is super cute, I enjoyed walking around and looking at all the little houses, many of which were cottages available to rent.

It was such a fun time - I think this may become a tradition!  I love the fact that it is such an easy drive from St. Louis and has so much to offer.

The rest of the weekend included a movie (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) and relaxing.

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!  Each and every one really meant so very much to me.  Thank you, thank you!

Today I am copying an idea I saw Biana post last week - 29 for 29.  29 facts for my 29th birthday.  If you didn't read last week, I celebrated my 29th birthday yesterday.  It was a great birthday and I am so excited to see what my 29th year will bring.  Here are 29 fun facts about me...

1.  I was born on Friday the 13th.  Most people think of this as a bad luck day, however, my mom tells me that it was a good day for her.  Obviously she can't really say otherwise. But it still makes me feel good.

2.  I read super fast.  It isn't unusual for me to get through a few books in one day.  Now, that only works for fun reading.  If I am reading something for work, or when I was back in school, that was not the case!

3.  My mom and I email almost every morning during the work week.  We started doing so when I was in college and have continued since.

4.  I don't really like talking on the phone.  Unless it is a question I need an answer to ASAP, I will always text or email first.

5.  I don't know how to dive.  When my brother and I took swim lessons when we were younger, we stopped right after he learned how to dive.  Since he is older, I never got to it.

6.  Bags and shoes are my weakness.

7.  I am super critical of pictures of myself - hence the reason you don't see many on the blog.

8.  I am loyal to a fault.  If we are friends, I have your back 100%.

9.  Cooking is one of my favorite things.  I'd love to stay home and just cook all day.

10.  In the past few years I have shifted to more online shopping.  If I don't have to have it right away, I am much more likely to order online, than run to the mall.  Unless I can go with my mom.  She's my favorite shopping partner.

11.  My dad is the first person I call if I need something fixed.  He will forever be Mr. Fix-it to me.

12.  Movie theater popcorn is my favorite.  I may only have a couple handfuls, but I always order popcorn when I go to the movies.  It's just part of the experience!

13.  Going along with that, at the ballpark, a pretzel with cheese is a must for me.  Yum!

14.  I used to only drink white wine, but a couple years ago I was introduced to Pinot Noir and it has become my go-to.

15.  I love reading cheesy romance novels on my Kindle, but much prefer reading a physical book for different genres.

16.  If I start writing a list, but don't like my handwriting, I rewrite it.  Yes, I realize that sounds incredibly anal and OCD.

17.  I can get into any of the Real Housewives series, although Orange County and New Jersey are by far my favorites.

18.  I am divorced.  While I don't plan on discussing that topic much on the blog, I feel it is worth saying.  Being divorced can have a very negative connotation and I don't wish it on anyone.  However, I am proud of myself that I was able to get out of a bad situation, and with the support of family and friends, get back to myself.

19.  I am super forgetful.  I write myself notes all the time, but even then I don't always remember.

20.  I get anxious about driving some place new.  I always check out google maps and zoom in, that way I can get a feel for the surroundings and check out the parking situation.

21.  I used to love coffee when I was younger.  Now, I don't even enjoy the smell.

22.  My favorite birthday treat is yellow cake with chocolate frosting and round sprinkles.  I am going home in a couple weekends and my mom promised to make me birthday cupcakes - I cannot wait!

23.  I used to never cry, about anything.  I feel like after I graduated college, I now cry at the drop of a hat.  It's ridiculous - from one extreme to another.

24.  I have a hard time with left and right.  I know what direction I want to go, but communicating it to others can be rough for me.  I have to make an L with my thumb and finger so I know for sure that what I am saying is correct.

25.  I never watched The Bachelor/Bachelorette until this season.  I blame Jess.  I still didn't watch this season religiously, but you can bet that I will be tuning in to see who Ben picks...I am definitely team Lauren.

26.  I am a morning person; even on the weekends I wake up early.

27.  Dark chocolate is my favorite.

28.  I did tumbling and ballet growing up.  I wish they had adult classes for that type of stuff, because I sure miss it.

29.  It's almost my blogiversary.  When I started this 11 months ago, I had no idea what went into blogging.  It's been such a great experience thus far and the people I have met in the blogging community are amazing.  I am excited to keep with it and continue to learn as I go!
It blows my mind that I am 29.  In my head, I feel like I am still in my early 20's.  I don't know where the time goes!  The saying that the days are long, but the years are short is truer and truer every year.  I am ready for to see what this year has in store!
