Happy Friday!  Goodness, am I glad to see the weekend!  My big plans?  Hopefully, and I do truly hope, that my weekend involves waking up with no alarm, and enjoying a cup of coffee either out on my deck (weather permitting) or while watching an episode of The Pioneer Woman.  Like I said, big plans, haha!

I have a few favorites, today, so let's get to it.

1.  Jean Jacket.  I have had a jean jacket on my list of things to buy for awhile now.  I am often cold, so I usually carry a sweater.  I have always liked the look of jean jackets, though, but never found the right one.  They always felt too constricting, or on the opposite end, too big and boxy.  When I saw that the Kut from the Kloth Helena jackets were on sale (still on sale, 30% off), I decided to give one a try.  Many bloggers have raved about this jacket, saying how comfortable it was, and how it had a good bit of stretch.  And I totally get the hype.  I ordered both a Medium and a Large to try.  I had heard to size up one so I got the Medium, but wanted to also try a Large to see if going up two sizes would be better.  To be honest, they fit relatively the same, but I ended up going with the Medium because the sleeves of the Large were longer than I like.  I was pleasantly surprised at how roomy it was and the stretch in it.  To give you an idea, I think I could wear a thinner long sleeve top underneath comfortably.  Just very pleased with this purchase - highly recommend if you are in the market!

2.  Peloton App.  The more I use the app, the more I am a fan.  I have been using the 'Outdoor' section of the app, and doing the walks, and even attempting a walk & run workout.  The workouts have great playlists, and then you get that added encouragement and direction (i.e. power walk here) from the instructor.  Robin is still one of my favorite instructors so I tend to look for hers, but if you have any recommendations, please send my way!

Another thing I really like the app, and Peloton in general, is the option to follow people.  I like seeing what workouts others are doing because, honestly, I get a little overwhelmed at the non-bike options.  If you have the bike, or use the app and want to be Peloton buddies, my username is emadun  Like I said, I find it super helpful to see what others are doing to get ideas for myself!

3.  Dutch Oven.  I have been wanting a larger Dutch oven for awhile, and The Today Show's Steals and Deals segment had a Staub one at a very heavy discount.  I hit order as soon as it was restocked (the deals are usually released on the hour).  I got it this week, and I am so excited.  I have bread ingredients on my list, and hoping to attempt my first baking next week.  If you have any Dutch oven specific recipes, please send my way!

4.  New Wall Hangings.  I plan to do a full recap of my Memorial Day weekend next week, but wanted to share a few house projects that got done.  First, the wall rack.  My dad made me a plate rack awhile back, and once we got it on the wall, it didn't quite work for some of the plates.  So, he was kind enough to make a new one, and we got it up this past weekend.  It looks soooo good, and really warms up that area.

Another area we tackled was above the TV.  I knew I wanted something above the TV, but it was on hold until I got my new TV stand.  That happened earlier this year, so I began working on what would go above.  I framed a David Knowlton print my mom had given me when I first moved, ordered a medal 'home' sign from Magnolia Market (on sale!), and then was able to use a tile I had previously purchased.  I really love have something above there now...same with the plate rack, it really helps to warm up the area!

I think this every time something goes up on the walls, but I am always amazed at how much home-ier a place feels once something is hung.

5.  Flowers.  My flowers are blooming!  My post on Wednesday was my annual 'May Flowers' post, where I share the different flowers I potted for the year.  When I initially took the pictures on Monday, things hadn't bloomed quite as much.  With all the rain and heat the St. Louis area has experienced this week, things have grown and the blooms (especially on the geranium) have really opened.

That's all I have for this Friday.  Hope you all have a great weekend!

Linking up with Andrea and Erika.

  3. I love that jean jacket. It's so funny, I always love how people look in those and I have the cutest one of my own, but I never ever think to wear it. I always end up wearing it, like, once each year and then kick myself for not wearing it more. And now it'll be too hot here for it for the next 5 months. Haha.

  4. I love my jean jacket. I am jldgetshealthy on the Peloton since I am using the app with a Sunny stationary bike. I have only used my dutch oven for boiling potatoes for potato salad this week. I do have a beef bourguignon recipe I want to try in the Fall.
