Happy almost August!  This next month is going to be a whirlwind, and then it will finally be fall!  To say I am excited would be an understatement.

Let's get to the post, though, shall we?

What I'm eating this week...

Monday: Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad from Panera
Tuesday: Pork Chops, Green Beans & Caesar Salad
Wednesday: Czech Meat Patties (Skinnytaste One & Done)
Thursday:  Leftovers, or take out - one of the two!
Friday:  That is a good question...

What I'm reminiscing about...
Nothing really.  Feeling the present right now!

What I'm loving...
A few things off the top of my head:
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale buys (you can see what I bought and my thoughts in this post here)
Starbucks
Cooler warm weather
Kindle Unlimited
Trader Joe's Shiraz
Face masks
UGG slippers
Hallmark Christmas movies
Painted nails

What I've been up to...
Honestly, this month has been relatively uneventful.

I ended June with a trip to Indiana for my nephew's baptism.  It was so nice to see everyone, even if just for a short while. (post here)

The 4th of July was really low key, and started off with a nice walk through Forest Park.  Such a St. Louis gem! (post here)

As I mentioned above, I was all about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  Even though a good portion of the things I had hoped to get were cancelled.  It all worked out though - I ended up with some really nice stuff that I cannot wait to start wearing! (post here)

I enjoyed a yummy dinner out with a friend, and then finally conquered my bathroom.  It feels SO GOOD to have it all cleaned out and organized.  Not to mention it's been easy peasy to keep up with. (post here

I went from having a super productive weekend cleaning the bathroom to one of the laziest weekends ever!  So much so, I didn't even do a weekend recap post...because there was nothing to share!

I share some confessions last week.  I think those types of posts are always fun, because you can usually commiserate with one another.  Like how having a million passwords is so darn frustrating! (post here)

I said at the top of the post how excited I am for fall and that really showed this past weekend.  I hit up Hobby Lobby and got some really cute stuff! (post here)

Along with that, I continued my home series, with a peek at the outside of my condo (post here), as well as my favorite, budget friendly curtains (post here)!

And, if you want to see what I am up to on more of a day in and day out basis, I shared a Day in the Life earlier this month (post here).  Another one of my favorite posts!

What I'm dreading...
August is going to be BUSY.  All fun stuff, but busy just the same.  I am one of those people that needs some downtime, so even though all these fun things are planned, by the end of it I am going to so welcome a slower pace!

What I'm working on...

Eating better.  I am pretty good about consistently working out, but consistently eating well isn't necessarily my strong suit!

What I'm excited about...
While I said I am dreading it, I am also excited for August, too.  So much family time ahead!  And, at the end of August I will be decorating for fall, which I am pretty darn excited about, too!

What I'm watching...
Christmas Hallmark movies (real into Christmas in July this year) and a bunch of my normal shows.  Plus a little bit of Indycar racing.  Attending the Indy 500 the past few years and my nephew's love for it really has turned me into a fan!  I also started season 3 of Designated Survivor last night.  I really liked that show when it was on cable TV, and was excited that Netflix picked it up for another season.

What I'm reading...
At Home in Mitford by Jan Karon.  I came across this series when searching for Christmas books.  I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but it's cute.  Makes me want to move to Mitford!

What I'm listening to...
Still the Chicago station on Pandora!

What I'm wearing...
I am still wearing this embroidered top from Amazon, and I just added a new dress to my wardrobe, also from Amazon!  This striped, ruffle sleeve dress is adorable, and it's super flattering.  And I just realized they are both the same brand, Floerns.  Kind of nice to have a brand I know I like.  I get a little overwhelmed when looking at clothes on Amazon, so this will help narrow the search a bit!

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Seeing my family, and the start of fall (I know I am a broken record on this, but really I can't wait)!

  4. You are definitely going to be busy in August with all of that traveling! On another note, I need to check out that salad from Panera... we've been Panera fans for years and I'm not sure I've ever noticed that one on the menu but it sounds good!!
