Happy Friday!  I don't know about you, but I am ready for the weekend!

Here are some of my favorites from the week.

Forest Park.  I have mentioned this before, but St. Louis has the prettiest park (Forest Park).  It was home of the 1904 World's Fair and has a ton of history!  There are so many things within the park, like the zoo, the history museum, the art museum to name a few, and it makes for the perfect place for exploring.  I wanted to do just that the morning of the 4th, so we headed there first thing to beat the weather - humidity / rain.  It was nice to see it when it wasn't quite as busy, although there were still a good amount of people walking, running, biking, and even rollerblading!  We were there a little over and hour and headed to some of the areas I hadn't been before.

I took this picture on accident - I was trying to lock my phone, but hit the wrong button and I thought it was a pretty great picture for being unintentional!

A new cookbook.  One of the last things I need is a new cookbook, but I could not resist when I saw that The Pioneer Woman had a new one coming out in October (The Pioneer Woman Cooks: The New Frontier).  I thought about not pre-ordering, and asking for the cookbook for Christmas, but that thought lasted a whole 10 minutes, or so.  I ended up ordering from Amazon - I love that when you pre-order from there, if the price decreases at all, you automatically get the lower price.  The price has actually already gone down since I first ordered - gotta love that!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.  This is one of my very favorite sales of the year.  I much prefer cool weather clothing - all the sweaters and booties - and being able to get these things are on sale prior to the season is great!  I have been scouring the blogs of those who had the earliest access, and came up with my own wishlist.  Here is what I am hoping to order!

Shoes are by far my favorite part of the sale.  I feel like you can always find some good ones!  I am hoping to grab these Vince Camuto booties in the tan color, Blondo booties in gray, and Adidas shoes in gray.

My very favorite sweater from this past winter is on sale - the Free People turtleneck.  I cannot say enough good things about this sweater.  I am eyeing the red color, as well as this Madewell pocket sweater.  I am not sure how it will work out, but I think it's really cute and am hoping it won't be too boxy/cropped on me.  I have a similar Free People shirt to this one, and I really, really like it.  I am hoping this one will fit just as well!  Another top I plan to try is this floral tunic.  It's a bit different than what I normally go for, but I think it's super pretty.  And to round out the tops I am eyeing - a lace trim camisole.  I think this will be great for work under cardigans and blazers.

I love the look for the faux leather leggings, and since they are on sale, what better time to try?  Per Sarah's recommendation, I am going to size up - hope they work out!  And I am looking to add another pair of Wit & Wisdom jeans to my closet.  I got some for Christmas last year and have worn them nonstop since.

I will have my fingers crossed that items are in stock when the sale opens to all cardholders!

  2. My nordstrom wishlist is similar to yours! I loved the FP sweater last year and have it in ivory and a berry color. I heard there is a teal this year that I will pick up. I keep seeing that FP tunic as well so I'm going to hope to snag it along with my usual Zella leggings.

  3. Forest Park is beautiful!! All I really want from the NSale is some Zellas and my favorite undies! And I really do want that lace trim cami in leopard, but I'm sure it'll be sold out by the time I'm able to shop since I don't have a credit card.

  4. I want that floral tunic!!!!!! I'm definitely going to order that and another sweater that we both have. I know a ton of bloggers say to keep the same size but I think sizing up is better. Still super tight but you can breathe ha! I just found out Ree is releasing a new cookbook--don't know where I've been. I think I'm going to get it, too!
