March 2019 Goals

Hey all!  I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I am a bit behind on sharing my monthly goals.  Heck, I am a bit behind in setting my goals, but there is still over half of the month left to get things done!

March Goals

1.  Drink more water.  I am usually pretty good about drinking water, but here of late I have noticed I haven't gotten in my normal amount at work, and in the evenings at home.  I feel so much better when I get in lots of water and I want to get back to that.

2.  Wash up earlier in the evening.  The later in the evening it gets, the less I want to wash up.  However, I found that if I do it before I get really tired, then it doesn't feel as much of an ordeal as it does right before bed, if that makes sense.  So I want to try and get into the habit of washing up earlier in the evening.  And by earlier in the evening, that basically means any time before 9:00 for me.

3.  Clean out magazine box.  I have an old wine crate filled with magazines, just waiting to be read.  I want to go through the crate to see if there are any I can pitch right away, and then get started reading those left!

February Goals

1.  Finish decluttering my kitchen.  This still needs to be done.  I kind of lost motivation when it came to the kitchen decluttering.  Even though my kitchen now is bigger than my previous kitchen, it still seems like there is just not enough room for everything!  Which has kind of put me off because even if I do declutter, I still don't have all the room I want.  But anyways, I still need to do this, and probably take some time to reconfigure things, too.

2.  Clean out my car.  Done - ish.  I got it cleaned out, and wiped the inside down, but I didn't get it vacuumed like I had originally pictured when making this goal.  And it is in dire need of an actual car wash, too.  But I will count it as a win!

3.  Finish cleaning out my clothes / shoes.  Done - ish.  I cleaned out my sweaters, and even spent time folding them Marie Kondo style.  Somehow I have less room than I did before, even with getting rid of a few things.  I guess that is due to the fact I bought some chunky sweaters this year, haha.  They take up a lot more room.  I put off my dresser until I get my new dresser.  It just seemed silly to redo things to fit better in my current dresser, because my new one will be much different.  I didn't look at my shoes either, although when I moved I did pretty well with purging those, so I am not as concerned.

  1. I love that the clean out your car is Done-ish, lol. That is often very many of my goals turn out. You got this March girl, and have a marvelous Monday!

  2. Love Done-ish. My car is still waiting to be cleaned out, it looks like a hurricane went through. Just think of all the room you will have when chunky sweater season is over.

  3. Those are some great goals -- I should definitely adopt most of them myself! And I feel like "done-ish" is usually the status of most of my to-do list, lol!

  4. Great goals. You can totally rock those. I want to up my water intake as well. You just feel so much better when you do.

  5. Great goals, drinking water is so important. I always see a difference in my skin when I drink more water.

  6. Girl, done-ish is better than not at all!! At least you've made some progress! Hopefully you can finish up this month... you still have three weeks left in March! And your new March goals are totally doable.

  7. Congrats on the car cleanout! I just got mine washed and it made a world of difference after the winter salt is gone! Yay to clean cars! Annster's Domain

  8. I have a goal to try to wash my face earlier in the evening too! If I wait until right before I go to bed, it often doesn't happen, and then I'm so frustrated with myself when I wake up. I actually feel like I sleep better with a clean face, so I'm reallyyyy trying to wash it as soon as I know that I'm home for good that day!

  9. I have 3 magazines in my purse to read this week on my commute to work :) xo, Biana-BlovedBoston

  10. My car needs a good cleaning; especially on the inside. The dealership we bought the car from tossed in free car washes for life so I try to remember to take the car at least once a month for a washing but I hardly ever get around to the inside.
