February 2018 Goals

I know some people feel like this month has been a long one, but for me, I am having a hard time believing that it is already February!

Before I get more into my goals this for month, I want to revisit January's to see how I did.

January Goals

1.  Create a master to do list.  Still no.  This is bad!

2.  Clean out my bathroom cabinets / drawer.  Check!  I knocked this out one day and it took me hardly any time at all.  I got rid of a small number of things that I was holding onto for who knows what reason, but really it was just more straightening up things that had gotten out of order.  I was pleasantly surprised by this!  Another surprise?  Finding 3 extra bottles of face wash, and more packages of make up wipes then I realized I had - an unintentional little stock pile!  I am trying to figure out a way to keep track of the items I do have, that way I don't over buy like I obviously had on these items.  I think I want to start using the List Master app that Lindsay has mentioned a few times, I just need to take the time to set it up.

3.  Clean out my jewelry.  I was able to rope in my mom's help on this one when she was in town and I got rid of SO MUCH!  I was pretty darn ruthless and now can fit everything nicely in my jewelry box - in an orderly fashion.  I cannot tell you how much nicer it is to go and put my jewelry on in the morning.  Everything is so nicely laid out!

4.  Respond to emails in a timely manner.  I think I have done a lot better with this.  With work being super busy, sometimes they have been a little later, but all in all I feel pretty on top of my blog emails.

Other than creating the master list, I would say overall it was a darn good month goal wise!

February Goals

1.  Create a master to do list.  Third time's a charm?  At least I am hoping!

2.  Make my lunch the night before.  I take my lunch to work a lot, especially lately, and I usually throw it together in the morning.  It honestly doesn't take that much time, but it is one thing I could do the night before to make life a little bit easier.

3.  Pick out my clothes the night before.  My stretch goal is actually to pick them out on Sunday for the whole week, but I figure set the expectation at just the night before for now and go from there.  I have been off and on with this for awhile now, sometimes picking my clothes out, sometimes not, and let's be honest, the mornings where I have things picked out, definitely go a bit smoother.

4.  Get on top of my email accounts.  My goal last month was to be on top of responses, which I feel like I was, but I still have old emails (mostly junk) that has built up over time.  This goes for work, too!

Happy February!

  4. When I cleaned out my bathroom cabinets it felt SO good!! Why is the bathroom a catch all for crap?? So glad you accomplished that one! I've started picking out my outfits the night before (for the most part) and it makes mornings so much more efficient!

  6. I felt like January flew by too and organizing our bathroom cabinets is on our to-do, it's one of those things that I just keep putting off. I have faith that you can totally get your master to-do list done this month!

  9. Good luck with your goals! Staying on top of emails is SO hard! Last year I tried making unsubscribing from at least one list a day my new year's resolution and I still feel like I get a ton.

  13. I definitely need to clean out the bathroom cabinets but I'm kind of afraid of what I will find as I tend to hang on to products for wayyyy too long, haha. Making lunches the night before saves me so much time in the mornings so I always make it the night before & just throw everything in my bag before I leave for work!

  16. I feel like January flew by as well! Making lunch the night before and picking out clothes for the week makes life so much easier! I try to do this every week and can tell such a difference between the weeks that I do this and the ones where I don't. Good luck with your goals girl!

  17. I so need to clean out my bathroom cabinets! Picking out your clothes ahead of time is such a time-saver in the mornings!! For the last year or two, I've picked them out for the entire week and I love it! Just taking a little time on the weekend has made a big difference for those busy workday mornings. :)

  18. I felt like someone snuck an extra week into January somewhere... Not that it was a bad month, it just kept going! Snap on the lunch and outfit advance preparations - I forget how long that stuff takes me, and I am not the best in the mornings so any decisions made then tend to go badly! Also with putting out outfits on eg Sunday night, I have way fewer occurrences where the thing I want isn't clean/ironed/etc. Good luck with your goals this month!

  19. I need to choose my outfit the night before - I usually do okay, but I should make it more of a habit. I really want to get better with meal planning and prepping, but for dinner. Right now that's the worst for me!
