January 2018 Goals

I shared my 2018 New Year's Resolutions yesterday, but I still am going to be doing monthly goals.  I like doing these as a way to get little projects accomplished, or make small steps to my larger goals.  Putting it out there helps keep me accountable (for the most part!).

Real quick, I had one December goal, which was to make a master to do list.  Major fail with that, so it is going to roll on down to this month!

January Goals

1.  Create a master to do list.  As I said in December, I want to make a list that has all the things I would like to accomplish - both big and small.

2.  Clean out my bathroom cabinets / drawer.  I did this last year, but I think to start off the new year, I want to do a quick cleaning to ensure that no empty containers have made their way back in my cabinets, rather than the garbage, and as a way to see if I am holding on to some things that I am not using and do not foresee myself using in the future.  It should be quick an easy - at least that is my hope!

3.  Clean out my jewelry.  I have been paring down my jewelry collection over the years, but I still have so much that I do not wear.  I am one that doesn't change it up too much with my jewelry, so it's a little silly to keep

4.  Respond to emails in a timely manner.  Last month, I really let my inbox go.  I always respond to blog comments via email (unless you are a no reply blogger - if you are and want to change that, see this tutorial I put together last year here), and I really let that go.  So I apologize, if I didn't respond to you in the last month, or if my response was way behind, but that is something I want to get back to doing - in a timely manner.  And when I say a timely manner, I am meaning that you should receive an email at least in that same week, or at the beginning of the next week for Friday / weekend comments.

As I write these, they all sound totally doable, so let's hope that feeling continues throughout the month and I get them done!

  1. These definitely sound like doable goals. The people I know that have the master list love it, I need to pair all of mine together!

  2. I also need to be really frank about my jewelry. I don't change it up enough to keep all the crap I have.

    Happy New Year!

  7. I think monthly goals are such a good idea!! So many people forget their resolutions by the end of January, and it's nice because you can reassess as the year goes by! I also like that you only have 4 main goals. Really doable!

  10. I was just thinking it's about time to do my periodic cleaning-up, organizing of jewelry! It usually also reminds me of what I have, so then I do a better job of wearing it!

  11. Your idea of cleaning out your bathroom cabinet/drawer has me thinking about winter cleaning.
I really should do the same thing. Might as well knock out the cleaning now while it's freezing outside and there isn't anything else to do!
