What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Halloween

While I stick to more "fall" decorations myself, I can totally appreciate those that decorate specifically for Halloween.  Below are some of my favorite from Pinterest, as well as one from Instagram.

Homemade Halloween Decorations - DIY Halloween Decor Ideas - Good Housekeeping:

This Halloween we recommend that you swap your blow up Frankenstein with charming white pumpkin ghosts and mini gourd candle sticks.:

Bring the enchanted forest to you by drilling holes for boughs in few pumpkins. The bare branches will cast eerie shadows at night for a dramatic entrance. Click through for the tutorial and other outdoor Halloween decorations.:

That gnarly looking wreath mad of thick branches would make a nice and slightly spooky-looking Halloween decoration.:

Check urban.farm.girl out on instagram - she had so many cute pictures I had a hard time picking just one!  Side note - is there anyway to "pin" things from instagram?

Are you a Halloween decorator, or do you just do "fall"?

  2. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I usually put up general autumn decorations in the last week of September, then I add Halloween stuff on October 1st.

  3. That first pic is one of my favorite pins ever! I just started decorating for Halloween last year, the kids really love it, then in November I put my Fall stuff up :)

  4. I absolutely LOVE the bats! I bought some card stock bats at Target last weekend to hang from my upstairs windows, I just need to actually hang them up before Halloween is here-ha! Have a great day!

  5. If I had a mantle I think I would go all out for holidays, but I'm like you - more specific to the actual season! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  6. I love all of these! I am a "fall" decorator as well. That may change when Madeline is older but for right now I like my decorations to last through the whole season.

  8. Such cute inspiration! Now I totally need to add bats to my decor! Since we didn't have a fireplace in the house when it was built, we invested in an electric one and it's my favorite piece in the house to decorate for the holidays <3

  12. Love that mantle picture! I wish I had a mantle to decorate. I haven't decorated for fall at all. Well, I do have pumpkin cupcake candles all over the place. That counts, right?

  14. Pinning stuff from Instagram sounds like such a good idea, why has nobody thought of that yet?!?! I love Halloween decor and wish I was good at decorating like some of these pictures, but I'll definitely stick to my easy to put together Fall decor!

  15. I LOVE that first picture. The pumpkin tree with the bats is such a cute idea! And of course, I love all fall pins lol. I usually just do fall decorating, but Target's dollar section did have a few Halloween decor pieces that I really liked so I'm putting some of those out for the month of October and then I'll just stick with my fall decor in November until it's time to decorate for Christmas!

  16. Honestly, I am terrible at decorating for seasons or Holidays period with the exception of Christmas. I think last year I bought a light up jack-o-laturn from Walmart, because an opposum ate his real one... and that was pretty much the extent HAHA, but I do love seeing how creative and decorative other people are!

  17. I absolutely love the door with all the bats! We do mostly "fall" decor too, so that we can keep it up through Thanksgiving, but I do have a few Halloween touches :)

  19. Love the two raven ones! I just decorate for autumn as well, and even that isn't much. However I throw an annual Halloween party and the place is decked out in whatever the "theme" is for that year!

  20. Such great Halloween decor inspiration! I'm with you, I like to stick with more "fall" decor but these are all so creative!

  21. Oh man, I just love all of these decorations! I usually tend to decorate for fall, but this totally makes me want to add in some Halloween ones, too. I desperately want some bats on the wall somewhere next year!

  23. I generally have a mix of fall and Halloween decorations in my house, but most of my Halloween decorations could almost be considered fall. All of these that you have pictured are adorable!
