May Flowers

April showers definitely brought May flowers for me this year.  My parents came down in the rain this past weekend, and left me with two pretty pots of flowers!

As I mentioned in this post last year, my mom and I always plant a pot together to spruce up my outdoor space.  Usually I lug the pot home, we shop for flowers together, then put it all together.  However, since my mom was just down earlier in April to help me do a deep cleaning, she brought the flower pot home with her and did all the dirty work for me - thanks, mom!

They turned out so great - I love how pretty and soft the colors are.  I cannot wait for them to grow and fill out a bit more!

These are the plants my mom used:
'Marshmallow' Begonia
Iboza Vine
'Hip Hop' Euphorbia (Euforbia)
Creeping Jenny - this one actually came back from last year!

Do you plant any flowers this time of year?  What are your favorites?

  2. I need your mom to come over and plant something in the urns I need to buy for the front porch haha! I am so not a plant person--maybe one day I will be! Yours look so good now, and I know they'll look amazing once they grow and fill in!

  4. What gorgeous flower pots! And so nice of your mom to plant them for you! I do plant flowers each year, but we have been getting so much rain in the last week, I'm afraid they are going to be waterlogged!

  5. So pretty! I am the WORST at keeping plants alive. Literally. If someone gives me flowers they're usually dead within like 2 days. Yours look great! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  10. i suck at everything to do with flowers :) my mother in law planted 2 hydrangea bushes this time 2 years ago i think and they have not died, so she must be coming around during the night and watering them or whatever haha.

  11. So pretty! Looking outside and seeing flowers instantly cheers me up! I need to work on my green thumb! We have a succulent terrarium outside, but I always seem to kill them...even though people say they're the easiest to keep alive! Ha

  12. They're so beautiful! I sure wish that I could keep stuff like that alive. Plants hate me though. I'm sure those would be dead in two weeks if they were at my house. :o(
