March 2016 Goals

March is one of my favorite months because it is my birthday month.  Not only does the start of this month mean my birthday is fast approaching, it also means that it is time for another set of goals.  Before I get to March, let me recap how I did in February.

February Goals:

1.  Bill Organization.  I didn't really do anything with this goal...oops!  The consensus from the comments was go paperless!  I think I am going to end up doing this, I just need to get my butt in gear!

2.  Send Valentine's Day Presents/Cards.  Check!  I sent my Grandma a Valentine's Day card, which was purchased at work through a MS fundraiser.  Two good things at once!  I put together a little package for my nephew, Jack, to celebrate his first Valentine's Day.  A little book, a sweet onesie and a card.  My brother said the book was super cute...I can't wait to read it to him myself next time I see them.

3.  My Fitness Pal App.  I did really well at this for awhile.  I was keeping up with my food diary, which I really think helped me stay in check with my eating.  However, I haven't done much with it lately, so I need to get back to it.

4.  Bleach Teeth.  I got some great recommendations for this one.  I ordered a kit online towards the beginning of last month, but for some reason it isn't set to be delivered until the end of this month!  I am not sure how I managed to mess that up!

Onto March!

March Goals:

1.  Drink green tea.  I have long heard that green tea is good for you.  More recently, I found out that green tea can help with digestive issues.  I have stomach problems, so when I realized this, I thought I would give it a try.  I have only had it a couple of times throughout the last few days, and I have to say my stomach has been pretty good!  I am excited to see if drinking green tea really can make a difference.

2.  De-clutter kitchen counters.  My counter space is very limited.  This might turn into a larger kitchen reorganization, but the immediate goal is to free up some counter space.

3.  Purchase candles for spring.  Right now I am burning a candle from Christmas.  While fall/Christmas scents are my favorite, I am ready for something fresh to go along with the upcoming season.

4.  Set out my work clothes for the week.  I tried doing this a few months ago, but failed miserably.  However, I thought about doing it again since my work trip.  It was so nice not to have to think about what to wear, because I had my outfits set for the two days I was there.

What are you hoping to get accomplished this month?!

  5. I love green tea but truthfully, it hasn't really helped with my digestive issues. I hope it does yours though! And yay for birthday month!! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  6. I had no idea that green tea was good for digestion! I might have to add a cup to my day as well since my stomach can get a little wonky at times. And I seriously need to look into some kind of bleaching kit. Lots of coffee and chocolate definitely start to show over time lol.

    1. I haven't researched much into it, but that is what I have heard. I am all for a more natural way to help with stomach problems!

  7. Paperless is the way to go! We do this for most of our bills not all but most of them. It's nice to just have a digital copy saved onto your computer.

Let me know about the teeth bleaching, I'd love to find a product that people have used and not been sponsored for it.

We need to de-clutter our kitchen counter but also because we're moving and it gets so cluttered.

  9. Love it! Interested to hear about the teeth whitening kit you got!!! I've been debating spending $$$ at my dentist to get zoom whitening but since I drink so much coffee I keep wondering if it'd be a waste!?

  10. Do you eat gluten? That may be causing stomach issues! I have celiac disease so I know what that's like!

I love the idea of setting out your work clothes for the week! I need to try that!

    1. I do. I had thought that might be the issue, but when I had some tests done, that one came back negative!

  11. I need to drink tea too. Do you read Molly's blog Colors of Life? She just did a post on bloating and stuff that causes it and can helps (and I think it can go along with other stomach issues besides just bloating!). I really want one of those movable clothes racks to hang up my work outfit for the next day (or outfits for the week!). I don't really have any surface I can lay them out on, so I think that would be super helpful!

  12. We are mostly paperless and it's the best!! I still have an old file cabinet that is stuffed right now and I'm working my way through it to clean out all of the old stuff. I don't think it's necessary to keep the bills from my old beeper from 1998. Lol.

  14. I loved green tea...I drink hot green tea in the mornings and purchased iced green tea from our grocery for throughout the day. So good! I've also gotten in the habit of deciding on my work outfit the night before to save me that decision making time in the morning.

  15. Way to go on your goals for February! I've heard great things about the My Fitness Pal, but I still haven't tried it out yet. I seriously can't get enough candles, so I'm with you on being excited for the Spring/Summer ones. Setting your work clothes out sounds like a great way to get prepared for the week ahead!
