Weekend Recap

Who is ready for another Monday?

This weekend was pretty low-key.  Not much to report, so I will keep this short and brief with just a few highlights.

Hail Caesar on Friday.  It was ok, not great, but definitely not bad.  I just feel like the stories could have been more developed...there was a lot going on in the movie.  I also feel like the trailer gives you a different impression of what the story line is actually going to be.

The People vs. O.J. Simpson.  I watched the first episode this weekend.  I remember my mom being glued to the TV when it was all unfolding, especially for the trial.  Can't wait to see the infamous car chase in the next episode!

Making it to the gym both Saturday and Sunday.  I think I am on a two weekend streak of doing this!  Really trying hard to stick with being healthier this year.

Getting rid of about 20 pairs of shoes!  I made some good progress in my closet with going through all my shoes.  It is amazing what I had been keeping...really feels great to be purging!

Super Bowl show.  I really enjoyed the half time show...Beyonce and Bruno Mars were probably the highlight for me.  I also really, really liked the end where everyone was on stage together.  Definitely a great message!

  2. I DVR'd the OJ show and finally watched it Friday night....I'm obsessed. Can't wait for Tuesday's episode that I'll probably watch again on Friday haha! I think the actors are doing a great job with the show. And I really think he's guilty. And based on the show, it looks like his friends think that, too.

  5. Way to purge that closet girl! Yes, wasn't the Super Bowl halftime so tastefully done, it was just perfect I did not know that Bruno Mars was going to be there again and I was so excited to see him with them. I hope your week gets off to a fabulous start

  7. We saw Hail, Caesar too! I left wishing I had my time (and money back). Thank goodness for Channing Tatum's tap dance scene-- my favorite part! Purged 20 pairs of shoes, huh? They don't happen to be size 8 by any chance? Kidding, kidding! Awesome job cleaning out the closet! I need to take stock. Make today work, Rachel -CubicleCouture

  12. Purging old clothes and shoes always feels great even if it's hard to part with some things. The People vs. O.J. Simpson sounds interesting! I will have to start recording that show. I'm sad I missed the halftime show since everyone is raving about it.

  13. I loved the half time show!!! It was so upbeat and fun this year... 20 pairs of shoes??? wow girl! I think I might be the only girl on the planet who doesn't even own 20 pairs of shoes... they are just not my thing.. I'd rather have purses. :-)

  15. The People vs. OJ is soooo good! I'm completely hooked after the first episode.

And dang girl, I know you feel so much lighter after getting rid of all of those shoes!! I am loving my purging journey so far. I think my favorite thing about it is that it has really made me more aware when I make purchases. I immediately think - do I really need this? Is it going to cause more clutter? It's saved me from buying several things already that I didn't really need!

  16. I didn't know The People vs. O.J. Simpson was a thing?! I was really into that trial as well! Great job about purging stuff- we constantly have a donation box sitting by the door as a reminder to add to it. I love it! :)
