Loving Lately

While I am going to attempt not to spend this month, last month was free game.  Normally I don't buy much in December, due to Christmas coming.  However, I did pick up a few things that I really have been loving.

Nine West Tune Up Criss Cross Flat

Nine West Tune Up Criss Cross Flat

I have been on the look out for some nice black flats.  I wanted a pair that could be worn to work, so a little dressier, but something I could still dress down.  These fit the bill perfectly for what I had in mind.  Even better, they are comfortable the first time worn.  By the end of the day, I did need a band aid in one spot, but that was it and next time, they were good to go!

I had to pick up some new mascara and decided to give this one a try.  While I am not sure I can tell a huge difference from my normal mascara, I really do like it.  I feel like it goes on smoothly and does add some volume.  The wand is different than one I have used before and is pretty neat.  Side note, though, mine is black, not green.

Pioneer Woman Cookbooks
This is one repeat, but worth mentioning again.  I love her cookbooks.  All of them.  When I got the Dinnertime one for Christmas, I read through it that day.  And then decided I needed the others ASAP.  It seems from the comments yesterday, we are all in agreement that her recipes are awesome.  I can't wait to try some!

Hue Hidden Liner Cotton Socks

When I was home over Christmas, my mom let me borrow a pair of her socks like this.  Game changer.  I was worried they would not be comfortable, but they were super comfortable!  The fabric is soft, and they have a little pad on the back of them that helps them to stay in place.  If you are on the edge size-wise, I would go down.  I wear an 8, so I bought the M/L.  However, I think I could have gone with the S/M.  Either way, they are great socks.

Day 7 of my no spend month...wish me luck!

Linking up with Amanda and Annie.

  2. Have you tried or seen Key socks before? Those are my go-to when it's cold out and I want to wear flats.

  5. You got this!! Love those flats, super cute to be dressed up or down! I always hate when they show the wand being a color and then it's actually black. That's happened to me on like 3 different mascaras! <3, Pamela Sequins & Sea Breezes

  8. My friend had the Pioneer Woman holiday cookbook, and some of the things that she made for us when we visited were so amazing! My SIL got one of her cookbooks for Christmas too, and when my husband started looking at it, he turned to me and said that we needed to get it! Basically, I think that I need Pioneer Woman cookbooks in my life lol!

    1. I hadn't planned on any monetary giving! I was hoping to get through a few different areas, which will result in some Goodwill giving. I am just trying to curb my shopping after the holidays and make use of what I already have!

    1. So far I have only read all the way through the Dinnertime cookbook. I really like that one, because that is the meal I mostly cook for. It covers a ton of different stuff, like lighter meals to heavy ones. It also has a section of quick meals and freezer meals, so I feel like it covers a lot! If I end up liking another better, I will definitely let you know!
